NTXSC started in April 2007 to unite local Saluki people with the goal of one day holding a Saluki Speciality in the area.

After fulfilling all of the requirements for ASFA Affiliate Status in 2009, North Texas Saluki Club is now being moved to Affiliate Status and is eligible to hold point trials for ASFA.

NTXSC was Sanctioned by AKC in 2009.
